Is there a Gymboree Play & Music location near me?

We currently have two locations in Japan: our Motoazabu site and our Jiyugaoka site. Please refer to the [Find a Location] page for specific locations. There are currently over 600 Gymboree Play & Music sites in more than 30 countries around the world. You are likely to find one near you if you move abroad.

How can I preview a free class?

All children age 3 months to 5 years old are entitled to one free trial class at any of our locations. Reservations can be made online or by calling one of our locations directly. To sign up for a free trial class online please choose your desired location and then your desired class, day and time on the appropriate class schedule.

How much do classes cost?

Class fees differ depending on your child”Ēs age, desired program(s), number of times you come per week and your enrollment period. Please contact us online or by phone for pricing information.

Why should I enroll my child in a Gymboree Play & Music program?

With over 30 years of experience, Gymboree's programs are designed by child-development experts to help provide children ages 0-5 with the cognitive, physical and social skills they need. Because children learn by playing, our classes feature age-appropriate activities that encourage children to problem-solve and think creatively. How do I enroll my child in a class?

Please stop by your desired Gymboree Play & Music location to enroll your child in one of our unique programs. At the time of enrollment, customers are requested to confirm their desired class, read and sign that they understand our regulations, fill out and sign the bank form and pay for their first month of classes and membership fee in cash. Please call us to confirm availability in your desired class and receive pricing information before you stop by to enroll. (Keep in mind that you can participate in a free trial before enrolling.)

Can I enroll online for classes at more than one location?

Since each Gymboree Play & Music site is managed independently, you cannot enroll at more than one location with the same enrollment form. However, if you are interested in taking classes at more than one of our locations in Japan, you can enroll separately at each location. Please contact us for details.

Can I bring more than one sibling to a Gymboree Play & Music class?

Our classes are designed to allow parents to interact and play with their child one-on-one in order to maximize the child's success. If you have more than one child, there are new ways for you and your family to experience a variety of classes at Gymboree. Please check out our family programming, which are classes in which siblings and friends of different ages can participate in together. You can also bring each of your children to separate classes and still receive a [sibling discount]. Please contact your nearest location for details.

What are the benefits of being a Gymboree Play & Music Member?

Enrolling your child at one of our sites in Japan will enable you to take advantage of the following benefits: fun-filled and educational classes, daily member-only PlayGyms and Baby Socials, member-only parties and events, birthday party discounts, and more!

How do I arrange a birthday party for my child and what's included?

Please click here for detailed information on the target ages, contents, reservation policy, packages and pricing for a Gymboree Birthday Party. You do not have to be a Gymboree member to hold a party with us.

How do I schedule a makeup class?

Please call your enrolled location to schedule your child”Ēs make-up class. Make-up classes are valid for 3 months (from the date of your cancelled class) and can be used in any age-appropriate class. Make-up reservations are only accepted by phone. Classes fill up quickly so please try to call by 6pm the day before you would like to attend.

How do I cancel a class?

Please call your enrolled location to cancel your child”Ēs class for the week. In order to receive a free make-up, please make sure to contact us by 30 minutes before the class starts. Class cancellations are only accepted by phone. Please keep in mind that if we do not hear from you the class will be counted and you will not receive a make-up class.

If I transfer my membership to a new location, do I have to pay the membership fee again?

A Gymboree Play & Music membership lasts a lifetime and applies to all siblings in the family. Once you become a member, you will be able to use any of our locations worldwide without paying the membership fee again.

There are no Gymboree Play & Music locations near me. Can you please open one in my area?

Do you sell Gymboree Play & Music toys, music, and DVDs?

We currently only sell our original toys, instruments, CDs and DVDs at our Motoazabu and Jiyugaoka locations. Most of the products we sell cannot be found anywhere else in Japan.
